ZKS is proud to announce that Attorney Jamie M. Blucher was recently awarded a 2014 New Attorney Award of Excellence by the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association. The award is presented to attorneys practicing law for less than 5 years who have provided noteworthy and significant pro bono service to the community. Jamie Blucher’s work with the Legal Aid Society includes 8 guardian ad litem cases involving 21 children and more than 140 closed hours of service. Currently she is still working with 5 active cases.
Jamie Blucher, also a recipient of the Young Lawyer Pro Bono Award of Excellence from the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Orange County Bar Association, is an active community volunteer with a passion for helping children. As a member of the Legal Aid Society, she provides pro bono representation to abused and neglected children and has logged more than 250 pro bono hours representing children and minors, with 100% of her cases resulting in either adoption or reunification. Jamie was the valedictorian of her Barry University School of Law class, and she practices in the area of bankruptcy and commercial litigation.
