Madeline Chmelir is an Associate Attorney at ZKS specializing in personal injury defense, litigation, and premises liability. She represents companies in cases involving accidents on their property, conducting thorough legal research, drafting persuasive legal documents, and preparing for various court proceedings. Madeline finds great fulfillment in the dynamic nature of her work, enjoying the constant learning and diverse challenges that each day brings.
Madeline’s journey into law began with her involvement in the Guardian Ad Litem program, where she advocated for children in the court system. This firsthand courtroom experience ignited her passion for the legal field and solidified her desire to pursue a career that allows her to make a meaningful impact. Her love for writing and the influence of her father, a criminal and family lawyer, further guided her path into the legal profession.
Madeline earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of Florida, followed by her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she excelled academically and was recognized on the Honor Roll multiple times.
Before joining ZKS, Madeline gained valuable experience at various legal firms. She excels in legal research, document drafting, and client interactions. Her background in personal injury, employment law, and family law has given her the ability to handle complex cases and provide practical legal solutions. This diverse experience has contributed to her understanding of the legal landscape, preparing her well for her current role at ZKS.
Outside of her professional life, Madeline enjoys various hobbies and activities that keep her balanced and energized. She has recently taken up pilates, which she finds both challenging and rewarding. As a self-proclaimed “Disney Adult,” she loves visiting theme parks and attending concerts. Madeline also enjoys reality TV, true crime podcasts, reading YA fiction, and has a talent for knitting.
Madeline’s dedication to her clients, eagerness to learn from her peers, and enthusiasm for law make her a great asset to ZKS. Her varied experiences help her relate to clients in many ways, allowing her to provide personalized and effective legal support to each unique situation.
