In January of 2018 the ZKS Social Committee committed itself to become involved with the Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida located at Florida Hospital for Children.  On March 27th and 28th, employees of ZKS participated in Share A Meal.  The Share A Meal program allows volunteers to come in and prepare/serve lunch or dinner to the families staying in the house.  ZKS provided lunch for the two days while having the pleasure of meeting some of the house occupants.  

Mike Platta, the Assistant House Manager, was kind enough to give both groups a tour of the house while sharing some real life experiences of what its like to stay in one of the homes.  Knowing that these families spend the majority of their day in a sterile hosptial room, the Ronald McDonald House strives to be a home away from home.  Having the opportunity to provide a warm meal, at a significantly lower cost than cafeteria food from the hospital, really made the trip special.

ZKS was proud to have served these brave families and hope that they were able to brighten their days, even if just for a moment.
