With experience representing businesses of all sizes, David J. Melvin is proud to practice corporate law at ZKS. As a trusted legal advisor, David counsels his valued business clients, including start-up enterprises, in successfully growing their businesses while limiting risk.
With experience in both in-house corporate and law firm environments, David’s practice encompasses a broad range of areas including commercial transactions, corporate governance matters, cybersecurity and privacy compliance, intellectual property, and mergers and acquisitions.
David’s transactional practice includes structuring, negotiating, and drafting commercial agreements on behalf of business clients, such as service agreements, software and intellectual property licenses, software-as-a-service agreements, and other commercial contracts. David assists his clients with drafting and negotiating provisions to appropriately handle technology, cybersecurity, and privacy issues, including data processing terms and clauses relating to indemnity and insurance coverage. David also counsels his business clients on selection and availability of trademarks, and handles the registration and prosecution of trademarks and service marks.
David enjoys his role as a counselor, advisor, and problem solver for his clients, and works to ensure that their businesses are successful.
