Bio

After being a part of our Summer Associates Program in 2021, Rachel was hired by ZKS upon graduation to practice in the real estate and banking, lending, and structured finance areas of the firm. Her main responsibilities include drafting loan documents for banks and helping commercial projects go through from start to finish.

While in law school, Rachel interned for the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, which allowed her to see the power of the judicial system first hand and establish a strong work ethic. She was also a legal extern for the Children’s Advocacy Clinic of the FSU Public Interest Law Center, which provided her insight into her preference for practicing in a legal division where attorneys are working toward a common goal like in real estate.

Rachel’s clerkship at ZKS provided a seamless transition into the firm and allowed her to identify the legal department that she would be best suited to practice within.

As an associate attorney, Rachel’s favorite aspect of her role is making sense of legal jargon and processes that people find intimidating by breaking it down into a digestible format. Her passion for the law stems from its constant presence in our lives and its ability to allow change to occur and propel forward.

Rachel enjoys practicing at ZKS due to the strong support system of great people surrounding her both inside and outside of her section. During her summer clerkship, Rachel made some of her best friends and appreciates that she is now able to work alongside them each day.

During her free time, Rachel enjoys exploring the great outdoors, traveling abroad to almost any destination, trying out local restaurants, and taking her cat on walks.
