Sancha Brennan is a Shareholder at ZKS Law and member of the Trusts and Estates team. Her practice is concentrated in the representation of professional fiduciaries and family members managing guardianship, probate and trust administration matters, including estates with unusual assets, and real property transactions. She delivers personalized and practical legal solutions, focusing on client service and is proud to offer tailored and compassionate guidance during challenging times.
Sancha’s legal career began under the mentorship of her father, David Brennan. After clerking with prestigious law firms in Boston, including Lubin & Meyer and Palmer & Dodge, LLP, and earning her law degree, she returned to Central Florida in 2000, to join her father’s practice. For well over two decades, Sancha and her father provided legal services through their boutique law practice, The Brennan Law Firm, PA., which merged with ZKS in in 2024.
Sancha was elected by her peers as a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a world-wide organization of preeminent trust and estate lawyers and law professors committed to maintaining excellence in the practice area. She is serving as Chair of the Legislation Committee for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, is a leader in state guardianship law reform and is the long-time author of the annual update to the legal treatise, Florida Guardianship Law and Procedure, 2nd ed. Sancha regularly lectures on guardianship, probate and related real property issues. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyer and previously as a Rising Star, maintaining an AV-Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Sancha has been recognized by the Orange County Bar Association for Outstanding Pro Bono Services multiple times during her career; and for decades, has volunteered behind the scenes in the production of, and often speaking at the Florida Legal Education Association’s annual Probate Team seminar, educating probate attorneys, paralegals, court clerks and judges from across the state.
Sancha’s experience helping her clients administer estates, whether managing probate, trusts or advising family members or other professionals assisting children with varying abilities, elderly parents, or vulnerable adults reflects her empathetic approach. She is particularly fulfilled when she can restore rights to individuals who regain capacity, underscoring her commitment to advocacy and fairness.
Outside of work, Sancha enjoys spending time with her family cycling, swimming and exploring her passion for art. An Orlando native, she values community involvement and uses her personal experiences to relate to clients navigating similar challenges. Whether drafting legislation or guiding professional fiduciaries or families, Sancha’s dedication and professionalism leave a lasting impact on those she serves.
